Posted

HARRISBURG – The 14th-seeded Huron Tigers tied the game at one, but the third-seeded Harrisburg Tigers were able to push across a run in the bottom of the 7th inning to come away with a 2-1 victory Saturday at Dakota Access Field in Harrisburg.

The loss ends the season for Huron.

Mason Davis opened the game on the hill for Huron, and he pitched 6 1/3 innings before being removed in the bottom of the 7th. Davis was charged with two runs allowed on nine hits and no walks, striking out five. Jack Pederson relieved Davis and allowed in the winning run on a wild pitch.

Huron’s offense was sparse, with a solo home run by Kolby Hofer constituting the entirety of the run scoring. The Tigers managed just three hits and a walk.

Huron finishes the season with a 7-13 record.
