Iroquois Christmas Tour of Homes

Posted

Iroquois Area Community Club presents the Christmas Tour of Homes on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 1 to 4 pm.

The event begins at the Methodist Church where brochures and maps are available with $10 admission. The church is beautifully decorated with Christmas trees and nativity scenes. While there, enjoy Christmas music, hot apple cider and holiday cookies provided by United Women in Faith of Iroquois.

All locations will be open during the designated hours, so patrons may begin at any location and travel at their own pace and in any order.

Decked out for the holidays, the Jesse and Heather Blue home displays many Christmas trees featuring homemade ornaments. The 1970s house is on the Baye Century Farm and was remodeled at the time the Blue family purchased it.

The Rudy and Julie Waldner home will inspire joy and get you in the Christmas spirit. This showcase house is beautifully arranged for the holidays. Julie’s Dakota Reflections Art Studio is located in their home and features over one hundred original paintings of the South Dakota prairies and winter scenes.

Decorated with unique holiday styles and traditions, the Jeff and Jennifer Peskey home contains a keepsake ornaments tree and favorite NFL teams trees. The home was built in 2019, and the interior of the home was completed by Jeff.

Step into the holiday magic as you enter the Brad and Mary Wienbar home. Every room is filled with beautiful Christmas trees and holiday decorations. The living room contains a 9-foot tree, and the farmhouse pantry is dressed up for the season. One-of-a-kind antiques and family heirlooms fill the home.

The Iroquois Heritage Museum is decorated for an old-time Christmas. The museum is filled with local historical items, many donated by area residents.

The Iroquois Area Community Club is a group of volunteers that work to improve the town of Iroquois. Proceeds will help with community projects and future events.
