IROQUOIS — This spring, the Iroquois FCCLA chapter organized a Pop Tab War among the elementary classrooms to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Each class competed to see who could collect the most aluminum pop tabs, which are recycled to help fund services for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
After weeks of collecting, the second grade class came out on top with an impressive 15 pounds of pop tabs! In total, the school collected 50 pounds, showing how small efforts can add up to make a big impact.
FCCLA members had the opportunity to deliver the pop tabs in person during their trip to Sioux Falls for the State Leadership Conference. While there, they visited the Ronald McDonald House to drop off the donations and learn more about how the tabs help support families in need.
