James Valley Christian School prepares for annual stewardship dinner and play

Posted

HURON — “No Name in the Street” by Edward Murch is the Spring Stewardship dinner theater this year at James Valley Christian School.

The show is set to be presented Friday and Saturday evenings, April 5 and 6, at JVC. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner is scheduled for 6 p.m., followed by the show in the JVC Auditorium.

Tickets are available for this annual event at the school, or at www.jvcs.org.

Before dinner, guests are welcome to shop in the marketplace for items like nuts, poppy seed, and baked goods.

This year’s homemade meal includes mixed green salad with sesame vinaigrette, dinner roll, savory meatballs with cream sauce, twice baked mashed potatoes, glazed carrots and a dessert bar.

During dinner, guests will enjoy a variety of musical entertainment from some favorite local musicians.

Following the meal, “No Name in the Street,” in the auditorium.

Visitors will sit back and enjoy the touching play about Holy Week, dramatic and powerful in its simplicity. The events leading up to the Crucifixion are seen by a mother searching for her son during the week leading up to Jesus’ crucifixion.

This year’s stewardship dinner theater theater play is directed by Kathy Hofer and Deneise Wipf. Lorena Blom is the musical director.
