HURON — The James Valley Road Race was held Saturday, beginning at James Valley Christian School parking lot, with Pierce Baumberger leading all competitors in the 5K race, finishing in 17 minutes, 23 seconds.

Finishing second to Baumberger in the men’s overall division was Max Cruse at 18:12. Dax Frandsen took third with a time of 18:51.

Hadasah Olson led the overall women’s finishers with a time of 21:15. Andee Frandsen (22:15) and Jacey Wipf (22:31) finished second and third.

The race is hosted by Restoration Church. A children’s fun run was held at the completion of the 5K and the 2-mile walk.

Age group winners were also awarded, with those who finished in the top three overall not eligible for age-specific awards.

• 12 and under: Edgar Alo Altunar Rueda, 28:07.
• 13-17: Kaden Ober, 19:42.
• 30-39: Shaun Sarvis, 23:29.
• 40-49: Christopher Sirvas, 19:46.
• 50-59: Jeremy Blom, 28:09.
• 60-69: John Higgins, 22:43.

Women

• 12 and under: Sena Gjerde, 35:55.
• 13-17: Daril Frandsen, 22:45.
• 18-29: Mallory Cruse, 24:48.
• 30-39: Crystal Whitney, 26:12.
• 40-49: Sara Gjerde, 35:55.
• 50-59: Lorena Blom, 28:28.
