HURON –– Jayme Stienblock, 45, of Huron, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Sanford Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls after a hard-fought battle with Interstitial Lung Disease.
In keeping with his generous spirit, he will continue to help others through organ donation.
In accordance with his wishes, a Celebration Of Life will be held this summer.
Jayme Ray Stienblock was born on February 12, 1980, to Roxanne Stienblock and Rick Nelson. He was raised by his grandparents, Virginia and Monte Stienblock.
A lifelong resident of Huron, Jayme was educated in the Huron School District. He worked at Kasperson’s and W.W. Tire before working at NAPA, where he was a valued and dedicated team member for 14 years.
On October 7, 2017, Jayme and Roxy celebrated their wedding ceremony, officially marrying on November 1, 2017, in Mitchell as Roxy forgot to get the marriage certificate.
Together they welcomed their greatest joy, Kenzleigh Grace, on July 11, 2021. Jayme was a devoted husband and father — always present with his love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Jayme had a passion for racing, particularly local dirt track events, and was a dedicated NASCAR fan. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures — smoking meats on his smoker, camping, and tinkering with projects (especially fixing things Roxy broke). Above all, he cherished time spent with family and friends.
In September 2024, Jayme was diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD), a complication of rheumatoid arthritis. Despite his illness, he remained active at NAPA part-time, valuing the camaraderie of his coworkers.
During a camping trip in May 2025, Jayme’s health declined unexpectedly. He was admitted to HRMC and later transferred to Sioux Falls, where he bravely battled pneumonia and other infections, along with ILD.
Jayme is survived by those he loved most: his wife, Roxy; his daughter, Kenzleigh; his brother-in-law, Ryan Pintuck; Aunt-in-law, Darla Pintuck; his bonus family — Jen, Jason, Kamden, Mico and John Cashman; Cousins, Scott (Danielle) Phillips, Jason, Steve, Stephanie and Kristie Mastel, and Cory (Nichole) Berquist; and dear friend, Don DeJong.
Cards and memorials can be sent to: Roxy & Kenzleigh Stienblock, 1465 Wisconsin Ave. S.W., Huron S.D., 57350.
