Jefferson records sweep against Tigers soccer

SIOUX FALLS - The Sioux Falls Jefferson Cavaliers dealt the Huron Tigers a shutout Saturday in Sioux Falls by the final score of 6-0.

“Jefferson is a good, physical team,” Tigers coach Leah Branaugh noted.

“I thought we made some mental mistakes on all sides that really cost us some goals. We need to move past this game and focus on the games next week.”

Eh Ja Beh Win made four saves for the Tigers.

The Tigers have their final home game of the season Tuesday against O’Gorman, with a 6 p.m. start at Tiger Stadium.

Jefferson took the JV match 4-2.

Matthew Thin had a goal and an assist while Mister Min scored the other goal for Huron.

Yo Yo made six saves.

Girls
Jefferson recorded a 7-0 victory against the Huron girls’ team.

Ya Tha Na had 10 saves in the opening half for the Tigers,w hile Baw Eh had five saves in the second half.

The Cavaliers won the junior varsity game 6-0.

Win Ni recorded 13 saves in the first half and Eh had seven saves in the second half.

The Tigers will make their final home appearance on Tuesday against O’Gorman at 4 p.m.
