HURON — The pairings for the Class A and Class B girls’ basketball SoDak 16 were set Friday. All games will be played Thursday at neutral sites across the state.

James Valley Christian, which is 15-6, is the ninth seed in Class B and will face eighth-seeded Lemmon, which is 19-3, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Gettysburg.

Miller, which is 15-7, is the No. 15 seed in Class A and will face second-seeded Sioux Falls Christian, which is 19-2, at 6 p.m., at the McCook Central gym in Salem.

The Huron Arena will play host to a pair of Class A SoDak 16 games. Sixth-seeded Tea Area (18-4) will play No. 11 Mobridge-Pollock (17-4) at 5:30 p.m., followed by seventh-seeded Aberdeen Roncalli (19-3) against No. 10 Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (17-5) at 7 p.m.

Sisseton (20-1) is the top seed in Class A and will face No. 16 Tri-Valley (12-10) at 7 p.m., at Watertown Civic Arena.

In other Class A matchups, third-seeded Flandreau (22-0) plays No. 14 Hill City (18-4) at 7 p.m., in Chamberlain; fourth-seeded Vermillion (18-4) plays No. 13 Winner (16-4) at 6:30 p.m., in Menno; fifth-seeded Mahpiya Luta, which is the new name for Red Cloud, (21-0) plays No. 12 Belle Fourche (16-4) at 6:30 p.m. MT in Hot Springs; and eighth-seeded Hanson (16-5) plays No. 9 Florence/Hendry in Madison at 7:30 p.m.

Arlington, which is 20-2, holds the top seed in Class B and will face No. 16 Gayville-Volin (15-7) in Madison at 6 p.m.

In other Class B matchups, second-seeded Harding County (21-0) plays No. 15 Northwestern (13-9) in Timber Lake at 5:30 p.m. MT; third-seeded Centerville (20-2) plays No. 14 Tripp-Delmont/Armour (13-9) at Irene-Wakonda High School at 7 p.m.; fourth-seeded Ethan (19-2) plays No. 13 Andes Central/Dakota Christian (14-8) in Parkston at 7 p.m.; fifth-seed Wall (18-4) plays No. 12 Colman-Egan (15-7) in Ft. Pierre at 5:30 p.m.; sixth-seeded Warner (20-2) plays No. 11 Herreid/Selby Area (15-7) in Ipswich at 7 p.m.; and seventh-seeded Lyman (15-2) plays No. 10 Kadoka Area (15-6) in Murdo at 7 p.m.

The SoDak 16 winners will qualify for their respective state tournaments.

The Class A State Tournament is scheduled March 7-9 at Dacotah Bank Center in Brookings, while the Class B State Tournament is scheduled for March 7-9 in Summit Arena at the Monument in Rapid City.
