HURON — James Valley Christian won the District 6B Oral Interpretation contest championship, held Tuesday at the school, and will advance to Regions in the following categories: Duet Interp - Andee Frandsen and Belle Niederbaumer; Poetry - Belle Niederbaumer; Storytelling - Hope Mendel; Humorous Reading - Elaina Hohm; Serious Reading - Andee Frandsen; and Reader’s Theater - Ally, Hohm, Elaina Hohm, Jonathan Koel, Emily Schutt. In Non-original Oratory, Jonathan Koel made alternate.

Other schools competing were Doland, Faulkton Area, Hitchcock-Tulare, Sunshine Bible Academy, Wessington Springs, Wolsey-Wessington, and Woonsocket.
