The police department was approved for SD Highway Safety Grant applications for overtime pay for speed and seat belt enforcement of $20,500 and also for the purchase of two new RADAR units. The full cost of these two units is $6,870. The city’s share through the grant program would be approximately $2,070 if awarded.
