MILLER — Tony Konold of Clear Lake started on the outside the front row and stayed out front to claim the top prize in the $1,200-to-win WISSOTA modified feature race on Saturday at Miller Central Speedway.
Mike Stearns of Aberdeen, who claimed the WISSOTA modified season championship on Friday, was second, followed by Dylan Zabel of Selby, Garrett Gross of Aberdeen and Tyler Anglin of Aberdeen.
Stearns won the feature race for the modifieds on Friday, while Brock Gronwold of Fergus Falls, Minn., was second. Zabel was third, followed by Konold and Gross.
Zabel finished just 13 points behind Stearns in the final standings, while Brad Lawrence of Mitchell was third. Rounding out the top five were Anglin and Andy Brooker of Tulare.
Maria Broksieck of Goodwin earned a pair of wins in two nights of racing at MCS. In the process, she secured the WISSOTA street stock track championship.
Broksieck went from eighth to first for the win on Friday night.
Jayden Bogh of Huron was second, followed by Broc Stout of Winner; Andy Rossow of Florence and Clifford Houser of Kimball.
Broksieck started on the pole Saturday and was able to stay out front. Matt Goth of Huron was second, followed by Stout, Rossow and Grady Myers of Winner.
Broksieck had a 41-point lead of Stout in the final street stock standings. Myers was third, followed by Bogh and Kenneth Clements of Madison.
Also recording the double during the two-day event was Josh Skorczewski of Aberdeen in the WISSOTA late model division and Dawson Zabel of Selby in the WISSOTA Midwest modified division.
Skorczewski held of David Carlson of Huron to earn the win on Friday after starting eighth. With the victory, he finished the season as the late model track champion at MCS.
Trevor Anderson of Watertown was third, followed by Justin Boomsma of Huron and Curt Kranz of Watertown.
Skorczewski started on the pole Saturday and led 15 laps for the win. Jayson Good of Watertown was second, followed by Anderson, Stearns and Kranz.
Dustin Arthur of St. Lawrence was second in the final late model standings, 102 points behind Skorczewski. Rich Thomas of Aberdeen was third, followed by Chase Gelling of Aberdeen and Roger Bitz of Aberdeen.
Zabel started fifth and secured the win in the 12-lap feature on Friday. Jayme Peterson of Highmore was second, while Lorin Johnson of Miller moved up seven spots to finish third. Rounding out the top five were Britt Williams of Ft. Pierre and Jordan Kienow of Miller.

Zabel won the Midwest modified track title with a 91-point margin over Lorin Johnson. Camden Rassel of Woonsocket was third, followed by Peterson and Jake Wranek of Sioux Falls.
Cody Songer of Wolsey secured the Pump-N-Pak pure stock track title with a win on Friday. He started fifth in the 7-car field and drove to the front.
Jackson Nockels of Kimball was second, followed by Mackenzie Kopecky of Miller; Shawn Laskarzewski of St. Lawrence and Kaity Bertsch of Miller.
Mike Hammill of Miller won the pure stock feature race on Saturday. Brooks Johnson of Miller was second, followed by Songer and Mitch Scott of Ft. Pierre.
Songer led by 248 points in the final standings. Scott edged Kopecky by a point for the second spot. Hammill was fourth and Nockels was fifth.
Brad Kopecky of Miller inked his fourth win of the season on Friday in the WISSOTA super stock main event. He claimed the track championship in the process with a 69-point margin of Derek Zastrow of Gann Valley.
Dominique Menzia of Aberdeen was second on Friday, followed by Corey Elward of Mitchell, Kody Lehr of Bath and Zastrow.
Trevor Nelson of Warner claimed the super stock victory on Saturday. He moved from fourth to first.
Zastrow was second, followed by Menzia, Shawn Schnabel of Aberdeen and Lehr.
Nathan Grehl of Hitchcock, who had his super stock heavily damaged in an incident a week earlier at MCS, was third in the final standings, followed by Austin Arbogast of Huron and Gerritt Van Liere of Madison.
The 2024 season at Miller Central Speedway will close on Friday, with the Tri-State Late Models making an appearance at the track.
Joining the late models for the 7 p.m., show will be the Pump-N-Pak pure stocks, along with the WISSOTA street stocks, Midwest modifieds, modifieds and super stocks.
