Watertown wins over Post 7 Thursday

WATERTOWN — After going scoreless through the first six innings, Watertown erupted for seven runs during its final two at-bats to record a 7-6 victory against Huron in American Legion baseball on Thursday.
Huron also needed four innings to get on the board. Post 7 took the lead with three runs in its half of the fourth inning and added another run in the seventh inning to build a 4-0 advantage.
Post 17 ended its scoring drought in the bottom of the seventh inning with five runs to take a 5-4 lead.
Huron managed to pull even with a run in the eighth, but Watertown regained the lead with its final two runs in the bottom of the eighth.
Post 7 did manage a run during its final at-bat in the ninth inning, but wasn’t able to match the total of seven runs for Post 17.
