HURON — This year’s Leadership Huron class presented its last check to community groups this week, funding two projects with the Huron Parks and Recreation Department.
The class funded a new light at the skate park at Prospect Park that went live for the first time Thursday and will keep the park well-lit through the evening.
The group also helped to fund a shed to be built at Ravine Lake to hold items during off-season. This shed will be built by 605 Shed.
Graduation for this year’s class will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1, with an awards ceremony beginning at approximately 3 p.m.
