Letter - Davis 7-10-23

To the Editor:

I write this letter in response to the letter from Jean Wolff, printed in the July 8 Plainsman.

This is why we spay, neuter and put them back to live their lives. These cats have lived feral all their lives. They can be fed cat food by caring animal lovers and still be great mousers.

Of course, some cats have no interest in hunting if they are fed or not. To tap all the cats running at large in the city, you are correct; there will be more mice. Every living creature has a job in the ecosystem. You take out one thing and you are left with a mess.

Alley Cat Spay and Neuter traps them, spays or neuters them, gives them rabies shots and then releases them back to where they were trapped.

We are preventing the hundreds of stray kittens being born feral, while preserving God’s creatures. Follow up on Facebook.
