To the editor:

After watching the news, I see our congressional delegation Thune, Rounds and Johnson are supporting taking away Medicaid help for approximately 13,000 S.D. people and maybe more so they can give a tax break for the ultra rich people in this country. Will counties be able to pick up the costs as people will still get sick? This tax break will help Jeff Bezos pay for his $50 million dollar wedding.

I listened to Sen. Rounds on a talk show saying that the economy was doing great in the first four years of Trump’s presidency. If the economy was so great, why did the national debt increase $8 trillion? Normally, you would think the debt would go down in good years, not increase. Now, four years later, if the Republicans pass Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill,” the projected debt is to increase over $4 trillion and probably more in the next four years under Trump.

I remember when Trump ran the first time, he said that he would get rid of the national debt in eight years. Now, it will increase over $12 trillion while he is in office.

This is the fourth time that we have tried trickle-down economics and the national debt has increased every time. Under three Republican presidents, the debt will be close to at least $19 trillion. Not bad for people who claim to be conservative.

The Supreme Court just ruled that Trump doesn’t have to follow the Constitution or the laws of this country. He has been calling judges crooked and liars because they were following the law and the Constitution of this nation.

It appears Trump, who has had full control of Congress, now has control over the judiciary branch also. It seems now we only have one branch of government, the executive branch.

The king has now been crowned by the Supreme Court.
