To the Editor:

After reading Michael Busch’s letter, where he accuses me of lying, I feel the need to reply.

Fact: Trump did call John McCain, and other veterans, suckers and losers for getting caught. This was at a rally in 2015. I suggest Kevin Schultz go back and check the rally where it was said.

Fact: I never said that Trump call for American to have a “unified reich.” I said it was on a video from Trump’s Truth Social Media on May 21, 2024.

In regard to Linda Cameron’s letter saying I was comparing my public service to military service. I have always supported the military and think the government should do more to help them with medical issues, which her son-in-law apparently has. She never mentioned that Trump was the one who received deferments for college and one for bone spurs, which he got because his father pulled strings to keep him out.

I was nearly 30 years old, with three children at the time Trump got his deferment, during the Vietnam War.

I would suggest that people read a copy of Project 2025, which was created by Trump followers. It would pretty much gut the farm program, fire all civil service employees and replace them with those loyal to the president. It would cut Medicare and Medicaid. Cut preschool programs and school lunch programs.

There are many other parts to Project 2025 - including the elimination of the Dept. of Education and Dept. of Commerce - and people really need to be aware of what will come if Trump is re-elected.

Trump claims to be a Christian, but was unable to recite the Lord’s Prayer at a rally in Melbourne, Florida, on Feb. 18, 2017. It appears that Trump is really as “weird” as he is now being portrayed.
