To the Editor:

The Attorney General recently appointed U.S. Attorney David Weiss, a Trump appointee held over by the Biden Administration, to investigate Hunter Biden, which is probably appropriate. Now, Republicans are all complaining about the appointment. They have never wanted to believe FACTS when presented to them, unless they are to their benefit.

I wonder what the Republicans really stand for? They are talking about defunding the DOJ and other law enforcement. They support Sen. Tuberville’s stopping the appointments to lead the various military organizations, which puts our national security in jeopardy. They want to defund the war in the Ukraine. They want to change which books are used in education, because they don’t think teachers are smart enough to teach our children and they oppose women’s rights.

Maybe instead, they should try to change the SMUT that is on TV programs every day.

Meanwhile, they still want to elected a wannabe dictator, who wants to destroy our democracy.

People need to read the history of how Hitler took over Germany.

Republicans keep talking about the Biden crime family, but don’t want to talk about what went on during Trump’s presidency. Trump’s daughter and son-in-law received more than $300 million during that time. Jared Kushner also got $2 billion from the Saudis after Trump left office.

It makes one wonder if there is perhaps some political payback involved.

If you follow Mr. Busch’s theory on locking up the Biden family, you would also have to lock up the Trump family.
