To the Editor:

We are going to vote in the August 29 Dakota Energy Board of Director election for: Brian Baum, Briam Bonebright and Doug Schaeffers.

We believe they will maintain our REA, that was put together by folks who came before us after surviving the Great Depression and still would not give up on Rural America.

We have not seen the official ballot and do not know if there are any other first time candidates applying to be director. We do not know their positions on the REA at this time and the clock is running. 

We hope you come and vote on Tuesday, August 29, at the announced voting sites. You will be using the secret ballot which our ancestors gave and maintained for us at considerable personal risk. It sure beats dynasties, oligarchs, royalty, dictators, and perpetual power experiments.

We extend our appreciation in this letter to the three new members elected in last year’s vote for the Board of Directors and who have been in the minority. And all the folks who turned out in a long line of cars for a pivotal vote.  We hope you can come and help keep the REA for the next generation.
