Dear Huron Community:
It was another successful year for the Huron Municipal Band, as we entertained at the Campbell Park bandshell this summer.
I am so proud to live in a community that supports the arts. I with to thank the following for their support this past summer: The Huron City Commission, the Huron Noon and Eye-opener Lions Clubs, Jean Anderson, Paul Christen, Dennis Milbrandt and Sarah Rubish, for their contributions.
A personal thank you to Abby Trandall, who helped me collect and distribute music each week. Thank you as well, to the James Valley Christian School for the loan of percussion equipment and music.
Thanks to the Huron School District, for allowing us to practice in the HHS auditorium and the loan of music from Huron Middle School.
We played a total of six nights in Campbell Park and we averaged 30 band members each night. We greatly appreciate the support of the community, particularly those who came out to enjoy our performances!
Dr. Frank Palleria
Director, Huron Municipal Band
