To the Editor:

I was going to write about Trump’s 37 counts of document mishandling, but Mr. Flowers covered that very well for us in the June 14 Plainsman . He also mentioned that the majority of the Republican candidates for President are defending the ex-president. Even Mike Pence, who they were going to hang on Jan. 6, is tip-toeing around the treasonous Trumpster.

I would however instead like to correct Mr. Busch on statements made in his June 7 lettere. He stated that I lied because I said Tucker Carlson was fired from Faux because of his sexual harassment. Wrong! I said maybe that was the reason he was fired, or that he hated Trump. Sorry my friend, but you got it wrong.

Another incorrect statement of his was that Fox lost one million of its viewers to Newsmax because of Carlson’s firing. Let’s do some simple math, shall we? According to the Nielson ratings, Newsmax had 202,000 viewers prior to Carlson getting the axe, and in the first week of June, the time of Mr. Busch’s writing, they had 489,000 viewers. That’s a gain of 287,000. I would say that that’s not quite gaining one million viewers would you?

Our friend keeps saying that the Bidens are receiving foreign money, but forgets to mention that Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner was given $2 billion to invest, from Saudi Arabia. There is a panel of Saudis who screen investments, and all had concerns about Kushner’s investments, but the crown prince overrode those concerns, and gave the money to Jared anyway. Jared is now guaranteed $25 million a year, even if he does lose money for them. If he would happen to make money, he gets a share of the profit. Sweet deal huh?

Have a great Fourth of July!
