WOLSEY — Lorraine Jungemann, 95, of Wolsey, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Huron Regional Medical Center.


Her Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Wolsey, with burial to follow at St. Johns Cemetery.

Her service will be livestreamed at St. John’s Church Livestream.


Visitation with her family present, will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Wolsey. A Prayer Service will begin 5 p.m. Sunday evening at the church.


Lorraine Louise was born on June 24, 1928, in Virgil to parents Herman and Louise (Lenz) Horn.


Lorraine married Gerhardt “Louie” Jungemann on Aug. 28, 1949, at her family’s home near Wolsey and to this union five children were born.


Lorraine enjoyed crafting, crochet, sewing and needlework. She also enjoyed playing pinochle and dominoes. Gardening was also a favorite pastime. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wolsey and the BYY’s Club.


She is survived by her children, Lester (Shelly) Jungemann of Huron, Rod (Lynette) Jungemann of Wolsey and Ronda (Shane) Price of Huron; seven grandchildren, Dawn Luellman, Melissa (J.B.) Renes, Brad (Tara Danburg) Jungemann, Nathan Price, Dustin Price, Kris Luellman, and J Jungemann; 12 great-grandchildren, Jadayah, Devante, Quinston, and Aryanna Luellman, Kieren, Kaden, Kaylor and Kash Luellman, Colton and Harley Jungemann, Roslin and Roman Hines; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Louise Horn; her husband, Gerhardt Jungemann; her children, Wesley Jungemann and Lavonne Luellman; brothers, Reinhardt and Raymond Horn; and sister, Alvira Horn.
