HURON — Marilyn Huether, age 87, of Huron, passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith and service.
Born in Aberdeen, Marilyn graduated from Huron High School in 1956. She first married Mike Staples in 1955, with whom she shared four wonderful children.
In 1979, she married Calvin Huether, a special man who shared her deep love for the Lord.
Marily had a heart that always said “yes” to those in need. She was a dedicated volunteer, never hesitating to lend a helping hand for any cause. Her kindness, generosity and unwavering faith touched countless lives. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her sister, Linda (Cobb), and her children, Dora, Mark (Karen), Kevin and Lynn (Erickson). Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Nic (Tollefson), Sarah, Heather (Goss), Mackenzie, Marshall (Emily) and Katlyn (Erickson), as well as her great-grandchildren, Lilly (Goss), Elly (Goss), and Russell.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved husbands, parents, and other cherished family members.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 7, at Huron Baptist Church.
