The Beadle County Humane Society recently opened a new “Canine Enrichment Meet & Greet” area, where potential dog adopters can spend a little time meeting with dogs, or for staff to interact with the animals as well.
The area was made possible via a grant from the Emily and Robert Entwisle Designated Fund, a permanently endowned fun administered through the Huron Community Fund and the South Dakota Community Fund.
Shelter director Kim Krueger noted that there has already been a teen/tween library group utilize the space to hang out with resident dogs.
