Miller to be top seed in Class A playoffs

MILLER — The Miller Rustlers, ranked fourth in Class A, moved to 27-1 with a Region 6A victory over Platte-Geddes 25-11, 25-9, and 25-13 on Thursday at the Miller Armory.
The Rustlers were led by Aleah Schlechter, who had eight kills on 15 of 18 hitting and also led the team with 15 digs. Jolie Palmer had 10 digs and was 15 of 16 serving with four aces.
Paige Werdel had eight kills on 20 of 24 hitting and also had two aces on 12 of 14 serving. Olivia Resel was 14 of 14 serving while also dishing out 31 assists.
The Platte-Geddes Black Panthers finish the season with an 11-22 record. Kori Venderwerf had seven kills and a block for the Black Panthers.
Miller will have the top seed in the Class A SoDak 16 and will face Lakota Tech on Tuesday with a time and site yet to be announced.
