MITCHELL — With the help of three unanswered goals in the opening half, Mitchell earned a 4-2 boys’ soccer victory against James Valley Christian on Thursday.

Gavin Waldner put the first goal on the board for the Vikings with an unassisted shot.

After Mitchell scored it final goal, JVC capped the scoring with a goal on a penalty kick by Noah Fast.

Jonah Niederbaumer recorded 17 saves in the net for the Vikings, who were outshot 25-9 in the game.

Mitchell also won the junior varsity game 3-0 on Thursday.

JVC, which is now, 6-5-2, will close the regular season with a game at noon today at Freeman Academy.
