HURON — Toward the conclusion of Saturday afternoon’s “For the Love of Performing Arts” gala, Huron High School graduate Billy Anderson made an announcement.
“Because of the impact that a long list of Huron school’s music educators have had on my family,” he said, “going back to my father and grandfather, through my children, we are making a scholarship available.”
Anderson announced that, in conjunction with the Huron School District Foundation and the South Dakota Community Foundation, the creation of the William and Jean Anderson Scholarship, specifically aimed at assisting an HHS student, in pursuit of a music education career, at his or her choice of schools.
