HURON — New Life Clinic providers and staff will join together with Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) as partners in the delivery of care beginning Monday, Sept. 16, according to Erick Larson, president and CEO for HRMC.
Nathan Loewen, MD, who provides family medicine and obstetrical care, Anthony Loewen, MD, who provides general surgery services, along with Kara Fast, PA-C and the rest of the New Life Clinic team, will become employees of HRMC on Monday. The clinic will remain in the current location at 118 3rd Street SE in Huron.
“The New Life providers want nothing more than to continue to provide the same personal, friendly care they have for years,” said Larson. “Our goal in this integration is to help them keep doing just that.”
While patients can expect to see little change in the way their care is delivered, the most notable adjustment in the shift to New Life Clinic becoming an operation of HRMC is the billing structure. Statements for care delivered after September 16 will be sent from HRMC. Because HRMC operates as a provider-based-clinic, some Medicare and Medicare Advantage patients will see their clinic visit charge split into two categories on their statements.
New Life Clinic will be closed for staff to make the transition on Monday, but will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 17 with regular hours.
Appointments can be scheduled by calling 605-352-2117. To learn more about New Life Clinic, visit www.newlifeclinichuron.com or www.huronregional.org.
