Addy Ihnen, who will be a seventh-grader at Hitchcock-Tulare School, was named a national winner for the American Legion Auxiliary Northwestern Division Poppy Poster Contest.

Her poster will be displayed at the National Convention in Charlotte later this summer.

Starting in September, her poster can be viewed on the American Legion Auxiliary national website at www.ALAforVeterans.org.

As a winner in the Poppy Poster Contest, she received $50, and an additional $50 was donated in her name to the American Legion Auxiliary’s Children of Warriors National President’s Scholarship fund.
