HURON — With the first touch of cool in the morning air, everyone’s thoughts turn to....pumpkins?

Local businesses with a favorite food or beverage are encouraged to enter the Huron Chamber and Visitors Bureau’s  Pumpkin Palooza, Sips and Sweets Contest.

The deadline to enter is Oct. 12, and businesses should include a name of the business and name of the pumpkin-flavored items it wishes to enter.

Customers who purchase the items from the businesses will go to the Chamber’s Pumpkin Palooza event page, and  ‘like’ the photo of their favorite item.

Voting ends on Oct. 30, and the winning business will be notified at that time.

First prize is a stunning trophy and bragging rights.
