Huron golfers compete at Watertown Invitational Tuesday

WATERTOWN — Huron’s Landon Roberts finished in a three-way tie for eighth place during the Watertown Invitational on Tuesday at Cattail Crossing Golf Course in Watertown.
Roberts carded a 79 to share the spot with Nick Bothun of Pierre and Jaden Solhiem of Watertown.
Watertown had the top two golfers in the field. Kaden Rylance won the event with a 5-under-par 67, while Jake Olson was second with a 72.
Hayden Scott of Harrisburg and Mason Carrels of Aberdeen Central shared the third spot with scores of 74, while Charlie Swift of Harrisburg rounded out the top five with a 76.
Aiden Zavesky of Huron finished 67th with a score of 103, while teammate Riley Jankord followed with a 105.
Rounding out the lineup for the Tigers were Peyton Grace at 110, Luke Eckhardt at 113 and Landon Mohr at 123.
Watertown claimed the team title with a 299, which put the Arrows 12 strokes in front of second-placed Harrisburg. Pierre was third at 321, followed by Mitchell at 324 and Aberdeen Roncalli at 338.
Huron finished 11th in the team standings with a 397.
The Tigers will return to Watertown to close out the regular season with the Eastern South Dakota Conference Meet at 10 a.m. Saturday.
