Rowen finishes second for Team USA

Huron High School graduate Kenedee Rowen took second overall in the sub-junior, 138.8-pound class, during the North American Powerlifting Federation Regional Championships, which were held Wednesday in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.

Rowen finished with a 749.5 total, which consisted of a 303.1-pounds squat, 148.8-pound bench press and at 297.6 deadlift. Her final attempt at the overall win with a 330.6-pound deadlift came up just short, leaving her with silver medals in each discipline.

The event closed the prep career for Rowen, who represented Team USA in the Regional Championship. She will be continuing her powerlifting career at Midland University in the fall.
