Crusaders sweep pair of games against McIntosh Friday

MILLER — Using a 29-point effort in the fourth quarter, Sunshine Bible Academy rallied for a 55-51 victory against McIntosh on Friday.
The Crusaders, who earned their first win in six games this season, trailed 43-26 entering the final quarter.
Trey Thieman had 17 points to lead SBA. Dominich Kalacinski had 12 points, while Owan Watson and Jensen Wipf each had nine points.
Kalacinski also led the Crusaders with 12 rebounds and six assists. Thieman and Kalacinski each had six steals.
Wyatt Schell had a game-high 22 points to lead three players in double figures for McIntosh, which is now 2-1. Desmond Steele and Ashton Waliser added 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Waliser had eight rebounds for the Tigers, while Schell had five assists and Steele had six steals.
Next up for the Crusaders in a game against the Lower Brule junior varsity on Jan. 9.

MILLER — Sunshine Bible Academy earned its first win of the season with a 54-32 victory against McIntosh on Friday.
Brielle Jeffery had 13 points to lead the Lady Crusaders, who are now 1-4. Betra Amare also reached double figures with 12 points, while Abbie Hinman added nine points.
Riley Glines led the way for McIntosh (1-3) with 12 points. Jessmyn Hertell had eight points.
Sunshine Bible Academy is now off until Jan. 9, when it hosts Lower Brule.
