HURON — The Huron School Board heard a good news report Monday evening at the board meeting which was given by Roger Ahlers from the technology department.
An update and presentation were heard about the development of the virtualization of server technology implemented last year, and how it reduces the amount of server boxes from one in each building, to one server box for many buildings where workspaces or “virtual servers” can be created.
This is money and time saving as instead of having to buy new hardware, servers, and warranties for every individual application and department, virtual servers may be created for the departments to run on.
