HURON — The Huron School Board held a lengthy meeting Wednesday evening, with nearly the entirety of the meeting given over to an executive session for discussion on a complaint from a parent.
Following an hour-long portion of the meeting, which included Superintendent Dr. Kraig Steinhoff, Washington 4-5 Center Principal Kari Hinker, one parent and a student, as well as the board, the board then met by itself.
After deliberations, the board adopted the following motion:
“To uphold the decision of the Superintendent as it relates to a parental complaint and to direct the school’s attorney to draft findings of fact, conclusions of law and a decision consistent with the Board’s motion.”
The Plainsman was told that the complaint was related to dividers that are used in the Washington 4-5 lunchroom.
