HHS Math department
Meet the 2023-2024 Mathematics department at Huron High School.
• Michelle Dickson teaches Business Math, Honors Geometry and Honors Algebra 2. This is her 11th year teaching.
She graduated from Northern State University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education and has her master’s degree from NSU in teaching and learning.
• Vanya Munce teaches Algebra and is in her 31st year teaching.
Munce received her bachelor’s degree in education from Huron University and her master’s degree in education from Southwest Minnesota State University.
Adam Heagley, who is in his second year, teaches Geometry and Calculus. He graduated from South Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a teaching specialist.
• Lindsey Alves, also in her second year, teaches Sheltered Pre-Algebra, Sheltered Geometry and Sheltered Algebra.
Alves graduated from Western Governors University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education.
• Lindsey Brewer teaches Pre-Calc, FST (Functions, Statistics & Trigonometry) and Algebra 2. This is her 19th year of teaching.
She graduated from Huron University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education.
Brewer has her master’s degree in Curriculum and Education from Black Hills State University.
She is also National Board Certificated in mathematics.
