Washington 4-5 Center
The Washington fourth and fifth graders are finishing their spring fitness testing. These tests help the students gage their overall health. At Washington, they do three tests. The push up test to measure their upper body strength and endurance, the curl up test to measure their abdominal strength and endurance, and the Pacer test to measure their aerobic capacity (heart and lungs).
Students record their scores from the fall, winter, and spring and try to improve each time. They are also trying to reach the Healthy Fitness Zone. The Healthy Fitness Zone indicates that a student is in good overall health for their age and gender.
