HURON — Sioux Center scored three goals in the second period and held on for a 4-3 win against the Huron All-Stars on Sunday at Bergman Arena.
Using a pair of goals from Ethan Busch in the opening period, the All-Stars established a 2-1 lead. The first was unassisted, while Brecken Glanzer and Grady Bott combined for the assist on the second.
With three goals in the second period, the Storm would put Huron in a hole it wouldn’t be able to climb out of.
Busch would earn the hat trick with his third goal for the All-Stars in the third period. It came during a power play on a pass from Bott.
Huron finished with a 37-16 shots-on-goal advantage, but Christian Richards tallied 34 saves for Sioux Center.
Jack Bales stopped 12 of the 16 shots he faced in the net for the All-Stars, who are now 1-4 in league play.
The two teams will meet again Friday, when Huron travels to face the Storm at 8 p.m.
