HURON — The Huron Municipal Band is alive and well and is looking forward to this summer’s bandshell season.
The band, under the direction of Dr. Frank Palleria, will have its first performance on Thursday, June 14, at the Campbell Park Bandshell.
Thanks to a grant from the City of Huron, the players will each receive a stipend for each rehearsal and each performance. The Huron Municipal Band will enjoy an eight-week performance schedule. Band members will rehearse at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday nights, at the Congregational Church, and will normally play at the bandshell on Thursday nights, at approximately 7:30 p.m.
There is always room for more players and those who would like to perform with the band are encouraged to attend rehearsal June 6 at the Congregational Church.
