Tigers ink shutout against Bulldogs


MADISON — The Huron Tiger tennis team pounded out a 9-0 win over the Madison Bulldogs Thursday afternoon, at Madison High School Courts.

Ann Hoek in No. 3 singles had a dominant 10-0 victory while Madeline Kleinsasser secured a 10-1 victory over Madison’s Callie Bounds in No. 6 singles.

AnneClaire Rubish and Lizzy Heinen each won their singles matches at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, then combined to defeat the Bulldogs’ Delialah Maxwell and Sienna Maxwell 10-5 in No. 1 doubles.

Hoek and Kleinsasser combined for a 10-3 victory in No. 2 doubles.

Say Glay won in No. 4 singles 10-4 over Christian Rowe while Law Kler Moo won the closest singles match, defeating Miranda Gonyo 10-6. Glay and Moo then defeated Audrey Allen and Bounds in doubles, 10-2.

Chalie Sah and Idella Meyer each won 6-1 exhibition singles matches then joined together to defeat Madison’s Marie Chabotteau and Kassi Kauffman 6-4 in doubles.

The Tigers are on the road for a quadrangular in Mitchell.
