Now, we work on improving our performances.”

Overall, the HHS Speech & Debate Team was able to finish 10th out of 29 teams at the tournament.

“Huron had many people place well at this tournament,” Gaffer added. “Our Interp program is performing well and really anchoring the team right now. Coaches Laura Iverson and Ben Halbkat have done a great job motivating the students to practice hard and focus on quality perforemances at the tournament.

“I believe the Interp Team is positioned well for the upcoming State Oral Interp Tournament coming after the Thanksgiving break in Harrisburg,” he added.

The next tournament will be the State Oral Interp tournament held in Harrisburg on Dec. 1-2.
