United Way 2026 grant applications available

Posted

HURON — The United Way Heartland Region will soon begin accepting applications for grant funding in the year 2026.

Each year, the United Way Heartland Region raises funds for various non-profits within Beadle County who help support their mission of improving lives in the region. They focus on organizations that help create a healthy community, improve opportunities for youth, provide financial resiliency for everyone, and lead to community resiliency.

If your organization is a 501c3 organization that serves residents in Beadle County, take note of the following timeline.

• May 1 to 9 — Grant application period. Electronic applications and hard copies along with supporting material must be received by 5 p.m. on May 9.
• May 12 to 16 — Review period. The United Way Heartland Region board members review all grant applications to prepare for upcoming interviews.
• May 19 — Agency interviews begin. Dates and times of interviews will be determined upon receipt of applications. They will once again be holding both in person and virtual interviews this year.
