HURON – A nearly two-year renovation project will have its unveiling Wednesday evening.
The project, undertaken by Jeff Pownell and Yendy Castillo, is at 145 Dakota Ave. N and is the former site of a boarding house and cafe.
Pownell has concentrated on restoring and renovating downtown buildings, since the couple’s first project, POP Ice Cream.
The unveiling is set from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the site and Pownell is urging those planning to attend to become an active part of the revitalization of Huron’s historic downtown buildings and donations toward that end are being accepted.
