HURON — Rain showers have ended, at least for now, and residents are being reminded of a watering restriction system that first went into effect for four months last summer.
Commissioner Doug Kludt on Monday said customers with odd-numbered addresses, ending with 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9, may water lawns, trees and landscaping on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Those with even-numbered addresses, ending with 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8, may water on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Watering for all addresses is permissible on Sunday. However, no watering is allowed on any day during the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Restrictions are in place from June 1 through September 30.
