Huron drops pair of 8th grade FB games Monday

HURON — Watertown collected a pair of wins against the Huron eighth-grade football team on Monday.
The Arrows won the A-game 28-8.
Ian Larson had the lone touchdown for the Tigers, hauling in a 61-yard pass from Colt Culver. John Lopez-Lopez added the conversion with a reception from Culver.
Culver was 7 of 10 passing in the game for 159. He also carried the ball seven times for 36 yards.
Larson finished with four catches for 91 yards, while Lopez-Lopez had two catches for 49 yards and Mateo Sifuentes had a 19-yard reception.
Larson led the Tigers defensively with six tackles. Ratte Klman and Wilson Pablo-Guiterrez each had three tackles, while Culver had a fumble recovery.
The Huron A-team is now 0-3 and will travel to face Brookings on Tuesday.
Watertown emerged with a 14-6 win in the B-game.
Sifuentes scored on a 39-yard pass from Larson.
Larson was 5 of 8 passing for 88 yards and had eight carries for 71 yards.
Defensively, Jace Gerber had five tackles and a fumble recovery, while Valentine Zing had three tackles and fumble recovery. .
The Huron B-team is now 0-2.
