HURON — Winners in nine different categories were released Tuesday night for the Huron Chamber and Visitors Bureau’s Parade of Lights, which was held Nov. 29.
The Chamber’s Parade of Lights committee thanks everyone involved in this year’s parade, coloring context, photo contest and all of the other activities taking place during the holiday season.
“A special ‘thank you’ goes out to the traffic control volunteers,” said committee chair Linda Wagner. “Without them, the parade would not have been possible.
Taking the prize for Best Portrayal of this year’s theme, “Christmas Village,” was the float from Restoration Church. Windriders Abate was judged Most Creative and the award for Most Beautiful went to the Church of the Open Bible.
The Bauman Agency won the Most Humorous category, while the float from Jensen’s Livestock took home the Most Animated award. Dakota Energy took the award for Best Lighting and the People’s Choice award, done online at the Chamber’s Facebook page, was presented to the Center for Independence.
