HURON — The Beadle County COVID-19 Taskforce has scheduled a COVID-19 vaccination POD on Saturday, April 24, beginning at 8 a.m. Any Beadle County or Sanborn County resident who is 18 years old or older is encouraged to participate by scheduling an appointment. The Taskforce plans to distribute 350 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine requires only one dose, and the vaccine being administered is not part of the national recall.

The POD will be held at the former community COVID Testing Center, located at 901 U Street Northwest. Appointments are required and can be made by calling 353-6214 from 8-5, Monday-Friday. If you do not get through on the first attempt, please call again. Please be patient as the line may be busy.

Beadle County reported seven new positive cases and no new recovered cases in Tuesday’s DOH numbers. That put the county’s active cases up to 46.
