HURON — The South Dakota Department of Transportation (DOT) will hold a public meeting open house on Tuesday, Oct. 4, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Crossroads Hotel to inform area residents of the proposed reconstruction project on S.D. Hwy. 37 from S.D. Hwy. 28 heading south 12 miles.

Design staff and DOT representatives will be available to answer questions, discuss the project, and receive community input following a brief presentation to begin the open house at 5:30 p.m.

For anyone who cannot attend the open house or wishes to get additional information on the overall study, that information is available at https://dot.sd.gov/projects-studies/projects/public-meetings#listItem-Link_1806. The website will also allow for online comments to be submitted.

Written comments on the public meeting will be accepted until Tuesday, Oct. 18.

This open house will be held in a physically accessible place. Any individuals with disabilities who will require a reasonable accommodation to participate in the open house should submit a request to the department’s ADA Coordinator at 605-773-3540 or 1-800-877-1113 (Telecommunication Relay Services for the Deaf).
