HURON — Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) Foundation recently announced the recipients of its 12 “Helping Hands” family and employee scholarships totaling $6,000, according to Shawn Martin, executive director.
“Our purpose in providing Helping Hands scholarships is to encourage HRMC employees and their children in their educational pursuits,” said Martin. “Each year, we receive many qualified applicants and it is fun to learn about the plans and dreams of our future generation.”

In addition to these Helping Hands family and employee scholarships, the board also awarded 25 Health Care Interest scholarships and 13 Commitment scholarships to students from the region who have committed to work in the community after graduation. These recipients will be announced in the future.
