HURON — Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) recognized its April Exceptional Employee of the Month, EhMwee Pohto, with a reception on April 10.
Pohto, who has worked as a Karen interpreter for HRMC for nearly 10 years, was nominated by co-workers to receive the honor. According to nominating coworkers, “EhMwee is very accessible. She comes as quickly as she can when we call her on short notice and is patient while waiting for the doctor, social worker or staff to compile all the information.”
“She has helped many people by giving them the gift of understanding their medical provider’s instructions and advice,” the nomination continued. “EhMwee meets a very important need for the entire hospital and staff – patients and families really trust and like her.”
