HURON — Make plans to attend the 2021 Independence Day Celebration in Huron on Saturday, July 3.
Festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. with the parade, which starts at 9th Street and Dakota Avenue, continues north to 3rd Street, then west to Illinois.
Immediately following the parade, Emily and James Salinas will provide patriotic music in the band shell while a pork loin BBQ is served in Campbell Park. Pork loin sandwich, baked beans, chips, and a drink are available for $6.
Flea Market and Farmers’ Market vendors will be set up in Campbell Park as well.
There will be multiple fireworks displays, starting on July 1 after the races at the Dakota State Fair Speedway.
On July 4 , fireworks will be over Ravine Lake at 10 p.m., while patriotic music will be aired on “Tiger 95” 95.3 FM or 1340 AM KIJV. A fireworks show is also slated to take place at 10 p.m. on July 4 at Lake Byron.
